In October 2020 Little Supernovas turned 10 years old!

Little Supernovas run classes in nurseries, primary schools, community and youth centres and are always looking for new storytelling opportunities and perform our shows across the UK. Our aim is to bring adventure storytelling to children from all backgrounds and provide them with confidence and a chance to develop their communication and creativity skills in a fun environment. Our classes incorporate action storytelling, music, props, drama, movement and plenty of giggles. Little Supernovas builds your child’s imagination, self esteem, confidence and humour.

Little Supernovas were observed during a schools inspection at one of our Independent Schools in North London by the Independent Schools Inspection, ISI (the equivalent of Ofsted but for Independent schools). The ISI do not give an overall grade like Ofsted, they give feedback. Here is what ISI had to say about Little Supernovas:

First class session. Beautiful session. Beautiful story. Music and sound effects perfectly pitched for the age groups. Brilliant use of space, props, materials and energy. Session is well planned and supports the current class topic. Children are delighted and supported throughout. Good energy with high and low physical sections through out. Children's attention is maintain brilliantly throughout. Absolutely first class!

About Our Classes

We run sensory, interactive storytelling sessions for children with SEN, working regularly with Centre 404 and with refugee families. We are also working in partnership with the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust to bring Shakespeare to life for children and families.

We have found that combining music and movement is an effective way to keep the children's focus and engaged throughout the sessions. Some of our stories require team work and various commutation skills during the adventures and we encourage the children to have a input by letting them follow their imagination and voice their creative ideas.

We love to bring your nusery and preschool topics to life by using music, sound effects, props and boundless energy to keep your children's feet tapping and smiles big and wide!! We tell popular stories as well as original stories to enhance your children's understanding of the world around them and their social and emotional well being.

We also use phonics and number counting so children can learn through fun role play. For example children will have to crack a code to move further into the story by listening to the phonic sounded out to them and thinking of a word that start with that phonic. We introduce numbers by counting down to blast off in our Space Adventure or counting the puddles we jump in and the number of sounds we hear. We also encourage the children to handle our props to develop strong fine and gross motor skills.

All our stories are carefully created and choreographed with EYFS as our framework to ensure we are supporting your themes, topics and teachers teaching and nurturing your children in the correct correspondence with EYFS.
